The sun was shining over the courtyard as the guests headed into Ufton Court’s Archer’s Hall for the marriage of Cheryl and Kane. After the ceremony had taken place, we set up reception drinks on the patio where we served summery Pimms with strawberries, mint and cucumber. The bride and groom chose orange juice and lemonade with wedges of orange for a non alcoholic alternative.
After the drinks had been enjoyed in the sunshine, it was time for the guests to make their way into the beautifully decorated barn. The White Horse Flower Company had created such beautiful arrangements which brought colour into the barn in such a lovely way.
Petals were scattered across the tables, among golden tea light holders. With a mixture of heights, the glass bottles and vases brought depth to the table, bringing the whole look together beautifully.
The main course was a delicious Beef Wellington which was accompanied on the tables with bowls of mustard mashed potato, creamy mashed potato and a selection of greens. Many compliments circulated the barn about how delicious the Wellington was, even the photograph is enough to make your mouth water!
The dessert was provided on a dessert table, complete with lemon and chocolate tarts, meringues, berries, cream and profiteroles. The guests made their way back into the Courtyard for games, but the children were quick to get back inside when they heard their favourite songs being played by the DJ and the other guests found it very hard to tear them away so that they could hear their own favourite tunes! Evening food was soon served, which consisted of tasty pitta breads full of spicy pork or chicken, with a selection of raita, chili sauce and fresh chopped chilies. There was a vegetarian option of grilled halloumi, which went down a treat.
