Louise and Liam at Well Barn Shoot Lodge

Louise and Liam at Well Barn Shoot Lodge

On the 4th August Louise and Liam celebrated their wedding at Well Barn Shoot Lodge with close friends and family. We arrived at the venue where Louise and Liam were getting stuck in, decorating the room with beautiful lanterns. We were met with the image of Liam stood on the bar, staff from Well Barn up a ladder and the bride where she should be; safely on the ground directing the entourage on the perfect placing of paper lanterns. Once finished, they looked great, and they really brought the bar to life.

Louise had been very hard at work, creating a lot of her own decorations. She made beautiful table runners which must have taken her ages; she took a brown paper roll and decorated every inch of it with big while polka dots. It really brought the rustic theme together and tied all the surfaces in so that the theme was spread throughout the barn and garden. We laid up the table with cutlery and glassware, napkins and a menu to each place setting. We attached luggage tags to each wine glass which featured the guests name in the same style as the table runners and the rest of the theme.

They had a relaxed menu starting with delicious sharing platters. Sharing is caring!

It wasn’t just the tables which were decorated beautifully, the whole room had a rustic, country feel to it. Louise had bought these huge spherical balloons which gave great height to the tables.

The beautifully rustic feel was also enhanced during the reception drinks. We put together their reception drinks table using their decorations, our glasses, colourful straws and country style bouquets. They enjoyed Julietta Rose Champagne, a selection of beers, Westberks Brewery Good Old Boy Ale and a selection of vintage style soft drinks in glasses. All of the drinks were presented in oversized ice buckets which looked fantastic.

During the reception we served a delicious array of canapés on chunky wooden boards, including Quails Scotch Egg, Truffled Potato Croquets and Goats Cheese Flat Bread.

It was a lovely, intimate celebration and we really enjoyed our time catering for Louise and Liam. Everyone seemed to have a great evening dancing the night away with the chosen band, and enjoyed our services on the bar.
