Unfortunately, we were extremely busy and having far too much fun at Alice’s Birthday to take too many photos, but we have just enough to show you how much of a lovely evening it was.
‘What a fantastic setting for drinks reception’ we hear you say. Indeed, it was such a beautiful view from The Stunning Tents Company’s large tipi. Miles and miles of rolling fields and woodland as far as the eye could see was the back drop for Alice’s 21st Birthday.
As a young and enthusiastic team, our staff were excited to be part of something a little bit different. Although they enjoy working at weddings and corporate events, it was nice for them to be part of a party for their age group. They interacted well with the guests and had a great time – you can see it on their faces, can’t you?
We served a selection of Julietta Champagne, which added a little more colour to the reception table and our bespoke wooden boards. We also served a range of soft drinks. As guests arrived we carried the boards to them, offering them a choice of champagne. We also served them a range of our delicious canapés including Mini Jacket Potatoes and Sour Cream, Honey and Mustard Glazed Cocktail Sausages, Smoked Mackerel Pate on Rye Bread, Crisp Whitebait with Tartare Sauce, Courgette, Feta and Basil Beignets and Baby Yorkshire Puddings.
After the reception, the guests made their way into the tent for their dinner. We served them from a rustic buffet station, which we set up with our own hessian and slate tiles featuring labels of the food. Alice’s menu included a selection of Vicars Game sausages, Rump Steak, Lemon and Herb Spatchcock Chicken, Teriyaki and Plain Grilled Salmon, Roasted Garlic New Potatoes, Pea, Mint, Chilli and Feta Salad, Basil, Sundried Tomato and Black Olive Pasta Salad and Grilled and Marinated Mediterranean Vegetables.
After the meal we served a selection of desserts. We brought Alice’s cake out for her, whilst everyone sang Happy Birthday. Her chosen cake was a Concerto Cake, with Rich Chocolate Mousse Layers and Crispy Pieces of Delicate Pastry all held together in an Indulgent Chocolate Glaze. Our chefs decorated her cake with flowers featuring her colour scheme, and succulent redcurrants. We cut the cake up and placed it onto boards for the guests to enjoy. The chefs also made deconstructed Eton Mess, which guests built themselves with Whole Meringues, Sliced Strawberries and Vanilla Cream.
The evening continued with a DJ playing Alice’s favourite songs, and a bar full of wine, beers, lagers and soft drinks. The fire provided a great place for people to congregate when it got cooler and everybody seemed to have a fantastic evening. Happy Birthday Alice, we hope you had as much fun as we did!
