This October, we were lucky enough to be asked by Hedsor House as one of their caterers, to be part of their Wedding Showcase. We were asked not only to provide the delicious canapés and drinks throughout the evening, but to dress banquet tables fit for Kings and Queens with our tableware and linens and create a rustic cheese display.
All of the suppliers were briefed with a colour palette and theme which incorporated the country, deep reds, wooden textures and foliage. We worked together with Seventh Heaven and Papeterie Eugénie who created the floral masterpieces and delicate stationary that adorned our tables.
For our first table, we wanted to incorporate our statement wooden boards. They work perfectly for any theme working around country elegance, woodland wonderlands or themes with a modern and contemporary twist. We contrasted the wooden boards with regal red napkins and elegant silverware.
Seventh Heaven created a centrepiece full of pretty vintage candle sticks, jam jars and tea lights. They chose soft pinks, dark maroons and foliage and it looked absolutely stunning with the hues of the table cloth and the napkins. We loved the varying heights of the display and felt it really brought the table to life.
Papeterie Eugénie made the most beautiful little favours to sit on top of our wooden boards. Every board had a different favour, so that guests could see the variety of different favours she could create. We were impressed that with just one conversation describing how we would be dressing the table, Eugénie’s favours were an exact match to our theme, with soft pinks to match the florals and delicate lace to accompany the regal napkins.
Our second table portrayed a completely different feel to the theme, although still incorporating similar colours and country vibes, we injected a lot more colour into this table. We chose textured ruby red plates, crystal cut glasses and sophisticated cutlery to portray a regal feel. This, accompanied with deep green mosses and bright purples and pinks looked almost whimsical, like a table from the mad hatter’s tea party. The impressive candelabras stole the show, towering above with pink florals hanging down; they would be the perfect show stopper for any top table. Eugénie’s simple and elegant menu cards were perfect for the table, standing out with statement black and white against our whirlwind of pinks and purples.
Being an absolutely stunning venue it’s hard to ensure your tables live up to the high standards that Hedsor House sets. The Wedding Showcase was a fantastic opportunity for guests to visualise how to dress the venue to reflect it’s character, whilst injecting their own theme and styling. We enjoyed networking with some great suppliers and talking to excited clients about their plans for their big day.
